If you search for "sorting board", you'll quickly notice: this tool has many names.
Bead organizer, sorting cube, bead box, sorting board, sorting tray, or bead tray. No matter what you call it, it all boils down to the same thing: more order, less chaos. Working with fuse beads isn't just about fishing colors out of a mixed bag. Even if the beads are already neatly sorted by color, another problem often arises: getting started. Many beads are indeed sorted, but in containers, bags, or boxes. You open them, look inside, reach in with your fingers or tweezers, close them again, and these little interruptions add up. A sorting board addresses precisely this issue. The process for laying out fuse beads is almost always the same:
- pure color
- Shake
- grasping pearls
- Take off
- Continue working
A sorting board essentially keeps this flow of movement constant. You no longer have to search or awkwardly look things up; you can stay in rhythm. The result is a calm, consistent workflow and significantly faster progress. This makes a noticeable difference to the workflow, especially in larger projects or longer sessions.
Last year I sold some stackable sorting boards that I designed and 3D printed myself, and they were really well received. It was so wonderful to see how many people found it easier to get into a flow state. Many wrote to me saying that it wasn't just "practical," but that it actually made their work more relaxed. However, producing, storing, and shipping a physical board is a huge undertaking in the long run and costs time and money. As a mother of four, I simply don't have the capacity to manage that consistently without it becoming incredibly stressful.
So I thought: Why not offer the core idea digitally? The system, the structure, the organization—everything in a way that you can use immediately, without having to wait for shipping or production. For me, it's not just a product. It's a small tool that makes it easier for you to get started on a new project, and that's what's most important to me: that you can start faster instead of having to sort things out first.
